Our team achieved remarkable results, with top performers to be showcased soon. The medal tally features Dorfman leading with 86 total medals, followed by Zimbabwe, Lambrechs, and Sebopa. Nathan Gavin and Safiya Barklem from Dorfman both excelled with 4 gold medals each, highlighting outstanding individual achievements.
Dorfman Karate students made South Africa proud at the KWF World Championships, with every junior competitor bringing home a medal! From gold in kata and kumite to junior team kata victories, our talented athletes proved why Dorfman Karate is among the best karate schools in South Africa. A proud moment for our karate dojo and a testament to world-class martial arts training for kids and teens.
Dorfman Karate topped the KWF SA Junior Championships medal table, achieving remarkable success with 29 golds, 17 silvers, and 31 bronzes in various kata and kumite categories. Numerous participants from different age groups showcased their skills, contributing to the overall impressive performance of the team during the competition.
Dorfman Karate members achieved remarkable success at the 9th KWF World Cup, earning a total of 11 medals: 3 Gold, 3 Silver, and 5 Bronze. The entire team's performance was outstanding, reflecting their hard work and dedication. Instructors Malcom Sensei and Shane Sensei expressed immense pride in their accomplishments, celebrating their collective effort and skill at this prestigious event. The medal haul underscores the team's commitment to excellence and showcases their abilities on an international stage. Overall, it's a significant milestone for Dorfman Karate and its members. Congratulations to the Dorfman Karate-ka on their recent achievements in ranking. Aimee Muha has earned her Shodan (1st Dan), while Tony Maunder and Shameen Naidu have both attained Nidan (2nd Dan). Sanushka Pillay and Jayson Robertse have reached Sandan (3rd Dan). Liesl Lohlun has achieved Yondan (4th Dan), and Su Dalcol, Lynn Fisher, and Nick Baker have all attained Godan (5th Dan).
